Julia's version of a classic
"You better not cry. You better not pout. You better not be grumpy. Santa Claus is coming to town"
Liam cracks me up with the things he says. Lately he's into getting out of bed while we're still up and coming into the living room with us and matter of factly saying, "I'm just going to stay up a little while."
One night when Liam decided to stay up a little while he climbed on my lap to watch a movie with us. We were watching a movie about President John Adams. I found it to be extremely interesting. Liam watched for a little while, then turned to me and said, "This movie is stupid. Let's watch a real movie." (p.s. I've never heard him use the word stupid before or since.)
Sadly, Liam and I were very sick last week. While taking turns throwing up I'd pat him on the back and say, "it's o.k. to throw up." He would then return the kindness while I was throwing up and say, "its o.k., Mom. It's ok to throw up."

Children can see magic that grown-ups can't.
J, "Our house just sparkled. I saw it!"
me, "what did you see?"
J, "Our house just sparkled! I saw it! I didn't know houses could sparkle."
