Teaching Moments

Apparently Mark and I need to step-up our spiritual teaching of our children.
After church we asked Julia about her picture of an ark with the title "Noah was obedient." I asked her, "why did Noah build a boat?" She said, "That guy told him to." That guy!?

Liam loves peanut butter sandwiches lately. This is what he told me as I was cutting the crust off one day, "That's what I'm talking about."

The next day after I made his sandwich he said, "thanks Mom. You are awesome. That was awesome of you to make that for me."

Speaking of friends,
"Gary is my best friend. He hits me sometimes but it doesn't hurt cuz I'm tough."

This morning Liam told me, "Thanks for dinner [it was actually breakfast], Mom. I'm not hungry. I'll go ride my bike." I love how polite he is. It seems so mature that I question whether I should force him to eat or let him get away with it.

Jenevieve Maia Wainwright

Jenevieve Maia Wainwright was born on July 27, 2010 at 7:24 in the evening. It was an AWESOME delivery. She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long. We were pleasantly astonished to see her long red hair! She is mostly a really easy baby for now. Sleeps lots. Never cries for long even though she has a bit of a reflux problem. She looks so much like Julia did when she was a baby - but has more of Liam's personality I think. We love her.

Say what?

Liam told me today, "even when I'm wrong, I'm right."
Yesterday when Liam and Julia were fighting over toys and I was trying to make them share Liam said, "Whats yours is mine."
He boggles my mind. I never know how to respond to him.
